Left by Anthology

A humbled courage found tarnished, limps
abroad using only what was left behind from an
eager smile to coat it’s weathered faltering ego.
Crude remains make out what was once self hope,
now left bitter sojourned on failed aspirations.
Flames extinguished by spits from betrayals tongue.
Kindness condemned to death for crimes of pursuing life.
Movements tip toed, and actions acted were impalpable.
Voices sentences rehearsed, so what is to be heard, perfect.
Thinking with thoughts anew, for with thoughts from
that thinking will aid ease guilt and lighten the uphill stroll. Fear pierced blunt it’s warm presence, though the visit abrupt.
The ground now the familiar dwelling, daily the fall recalled, as
scars envy new beginnings. Pouring now when it rains, while shadows shade only sunlight

Still parched from dodging the heat.
Now to many unknown, those who knew mourned then forgot.
Those who know remembered to not forget.

Preposterous

We all assume but not question why we ponder.
Think highly of the God or Gods we selflessly admirer.

Denounce all other beliefs, and paint them imperfect.
Smiling at enemies as teeth grind with animosity.

Live only for ones soul.
Admit good deeds to parade our perfections.
Though the methods are amiss.
We love to be loved back,
Instead of showing care or the willingness
to change the page of another’s life.
We sheath the truth for we have fragile consciences.
Weak to degradation and shot down dreams.
War is provoked by our rage of prosperity.
Murder is benumbed by our past,
or fear of losing subordination.
We follow because we are daunted of leading.
We lead because we fear extremities.
We hate because half of us is benevolent,
and we judge for the times are contrary.
